Job Description

You will work closely with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) lead to contribute towards maintaining compliance, audit-readiness, and a strong cyber posture for General Dynamics Mission Systems - Canada. This will include assisting in continuous monitoring tasks, compliance measures, identity management, and cybersecurity related work to ensure adherence with regulatory and industry requirements, standards, and corporate policies.

Typical Duties

  • Perform technical tasks under the guidance of GRC team members and assess information by analyzing, reviewing and verifying data to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory regimes, as well as documenting evidence for audit purposes
  • Assist in managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions on an operational basis
  • Interact with subject matter experts (SMEs) across the enterprise to identify and define compliance requirements for enterprise applications and systems
  • Assist in gathering data, analyzing information, and submitting reports to the Information Security Officer (ISO) for the purposes of conducting internal audits
  • Review dashboards to identify anomalies or discrepancies in the data and submit incident tickets to ensure discrepancies get resolved in a timely manner
  • Work with Corporate Security and IT Cybersecurity to understand, implement and enforce compliance related requests
  • Other duties relating to GRC and IT Cybersecurity in the performance of corporate and regulatory mandates

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in post secondary program in any field, preferably in the space of cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Excel
  • Experience (extracurricular or job-related) in activities relating to compliance, research and analysis, inventory management, or writing reports is considered an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, IAM solutions, and/or the Cloud is considered an asset
  • Previous work terms in compliance, risk management, cybersecurity or in a related field related to Information Technology is considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving and analysis skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to multi-task and set priorities

Additional Information

Security Clearance

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Canadian Security Clearance and a positive Controlled Goods Assessment.
  • Eligibility to work in Canada either as a Canadian Citizen.
