 Network Security Engineer.

Our client is a leading IT Solutions Provider in Greece, that delivers reliable solutions, with a focus on Data Center technologies, Hybrid Cloud, Security, Enterprise Service Management, Mobility & Internet of Things.

📌 Location: Athens City Center

📍 Working Model: Flexible Hybrid

🖋️You will be reporting to: Security & Network Units Manager

What you will do:

As a Network Security Engineer, you will be part of the Network and Security Team providing your expertise to ensure availability, performance, and security of their clients’ network systems.

More specifically you will:

• Participate in the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of the company’s client infrastructure
• Demonstrate in-depth understanding of networking to include routing and switching
• Document all new installations, troubleshoot encountered issues, and document resolutions for future reference
• Facilitate the design and development of business processes to enhance rapid response capabilities
• Offer support to both existing and new clients
• Provide prompt consultation for issue resolution and negotiation of shared resources
• Ensure the sustained success of operations through effective knowledge transfer to clients
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry developments through regular monitoring of industry news 

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or years of experience in a similar role / similar duties
• 3+ years of Network or Network Security Engineer experience preferably in the Telco Sector
• Strong experience with Virtualization technologies
• Expertise in security systems such as Firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, and WAF
• Hands-on experience with Firewalls (Fortinet, Check Point, Palo Alto and Cisco)
• Good understanding of Web services, authentication services, TCP/IP, and DNS
• Experience in IP networking including Routing, Switching, VLANs, and Spanning Tree
• Familiarity with Load Balancer solutions and Email Security solutions
• Proficiency in both Greek and English (verbal and written)
• Team player mentality
• Strong customer-oriented mindset

Any of the following will be highly appreciated:

• Network & Security Certifications :
  (Cisco CCNA, CCNA Security, Check Point CCSA/CCSE, HPE/Aruba ACSA/ACSP, Fortinet NSE4-7, Juniper, VMware VCA or VCP in networking, Azure/ AWS etc.)
• Experience with infrastructure services of Cloud platforms like Azure and AWS
